I had the great privilege to lend a hand to the National Arts Program VSA and the Grand Forks Air Force Base to bring to our area the first annual NAP/VSA/ GFAFB Art show and awards program. Everyone worked really hard to bring this show to fruition. There was a strong turn out of very fine artist from many disciplines who participated. Big Mahalos to NAP and VSA for bringing this idea to the Grand Forks Air Force Base and a HUGE thanks to the Crew working with Linda DePaulo at the base to give BIRTH to the first annual show! Wow, lucky me, I have two awesome Classes going on!
Through a Grant from VSA Arts of North Dakota I was lucky enough to teach a class at Mountainbrooke Mental Health in Grand Forks. Totally brilliant class! Everyone is so brave diving into projects with enthusiasm and creativity. Members are bringing in their art to share all the time. I feel privileged to work with such a creative group. Watch the papers and my blog in August; we will be having an Art Show open to the public. I will continue to work with Mountainbrooke members so much more great art to come! Check out this great organization.
I’m also teaching a series of art classes at my home studio. What great fun. All skill levels are welcome to join in. The whole idea is to “Shift Lobes” I like to say! Remove the blocks and learn new techniques to refresh and enliven your water media paintings. Email me if you want to get on the mailing list for classes at kimwilson@gra.midco.net.
Ariela Steif is a website Goddess! She put all this together for me; check out her website!
